July 27, 2024Amazon is one of the largest corporations in the world. Its customers can buy almost anything at their convenience and enjoy incredibly fast delivery to their door. Even its subsidiaries like Whole Foods, Twitch, Audible, and Ring doorbells are household names. Amazon has grown so big and so fast that it's increasingly difficult to avoid doing business with them. But there are also many troubling questions...
How does a billionaire monopolist like Jeff Bezos enjoy a liberal public image despite crushing countless small businesses? How does the constant overproduction and worldwide shipping of cheap junk affect the environment? How does Amazon treat its workers? What is dropshipping? Come discuss this and more with us at the Black Cat House on July 27th from 1-3 PM.
