- Event Review – We had our John Q movie night last Friday. Our turnout was low, but those who came enjoyed the film and we had a spirited discussion about healthcare afterwards. This will obviously continue to be a hot-button issue for years to come.
- Upcoming Event/Tabling – We are tabling at Nebraskans For Peace’s 55 Years Anniversary celebration this Sunday. We also took time during the meeting to sign up for the next Made Here Market which will be on Saturday, November 1st.
Salem noted that our giveaway swag is drying up after many tabling visits over the summer. There was some discussion about whether we should be re-ordering the stickers that have been pretty popular over the last couple of years. It was also alternately discussed briefly whether we should press some more pins, or even possibly have some extra t-shirts to give away after our screen printing workshop on October 11th. No decisions were made.
- Screen Printing Workshop – As has been the case over the past few weeks, the upcoming workshop took up most of our time. We think we will be making two screens each of three different designs, so that each design we share can easily be offered in both white and black ink to accommodate shirts of whatever color we will be printing on. We also spent time with some available graphics to decide what screens will be made.
